After completing my art foundation diploma at Wimbledon School of Art, UK, I studied art and design at Chelsea College of Art, UK and at the University of Boras, Sweden.
I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Design (Textile), specialising in hand illustrated textile design and screen-printing.
After graduation I completed my postgraduate certificate in secondary art and design at Roehampton University and qualified as an art teacher.
I have taught art to students aged 7 to 18 for the past 15 years in both state and international schools in the UK, Singapore and Japan.
This website showcases a portfolio of my own art and design practise which I have continued to develop alongside my art teaching career. As part of my professional development as an art teacher I have taken the opportunity to develop my own art skills in new areas including ikebana and digital illustration. I enjoy working in a variety of media and take inspiration from over a decade of journeys around Japan.
